this site has so many interesting things on it, I almost don't even know where to begin. the site is currently a two-person project based out of houston, texas. they are very much interested in products that are not only beautiful, but functional as well. they showcase work from more than 30 designers from around the world. they're currently only shipping to addresses in the US, so sorry to any of you who are across the pond!

the sun jar -- made by SUCK UK
a traditional mason jar filled with a highly efficient solar cell, a rechargeable battery & low-energy LED lamps. as the jar sits in sunlight all day, the solar cell creates an electrical current that charges the battery for a few hours. this energy is then used at night to light up the jar :) the warm colored LED lights give off a softer glow. the jar is also airtight, so it can be used indoors or outdoors with no fear of water leaking in.
